Logitech Wingman Attack 2

The place to ask for help or solve each others technical issues and discuss hardware

Postby ScottyB » Thu Apr 14, 2011 7:51 am

Hi guys,

Sorry to create another thread for such a simple question. But I am living in Canada this year (on a gap year) and need to get back into simming because I am missing it! A guy is selling a Logitech Wingman Attack 2 joystick for 5 bucks down the road. Just wondering if it will work on Windows 7?

And for 5 bucks i'm guessing it is a good deal?

Thanks

For 5 bones you can't really go wrong smile.gif If it's USB it should work straight out of the box, if it is a game port plug then things may be a bit more tricky.

Where aboots in Canada are you? I'm in Vancouver for a bit (in Kits/Point grey)

The only thing with the Wingman is it doesn't have a twist handle for rudder functionality. smile.gif

If, as Connor mentioned, the Logitech "Wingman Attack 2" doesn't have a "twist" handle for control of the Rudder, then it is really not suitable for; "Flight Simulation" type programs!

Which makes me surprised that it has the; "Wingman" description!... blink.gif ...!

Control of the Rudder, either by means of a "Twist" Joystick, or by use of separate Rudder Pedals, is essential to replicate real Aircraft flying conditions!

If you are going for a Joystick for a Flight Simulator, make sure it has a "Twist" function!

Joystick functions:

Forwards/Backwards = Elevator.
Left/Right = Ailerons.
Twist = Rudder.
Throttle= Engine power.
