Yes, I can confirm first-hand that the Strikemaster did indeed fly today at Ardmore - here are a couple of photos, please excuse the low quality as I was shooting directly into the afternoon sun.

The Tomahawk is seen here following another successful test flight at Ardmore today.
All going well it will wing its way to Omaka tomorrow, this is a beautiful aircraft and you will be amazed at how good it looks.

Trusty old Nanchang alongside todays Air 2 Air subject at Ardmore near Auckland. Might be a while before photos from the flight are shown here but the Tomahawk is an amazing aircraft. Warren and his team are miracle workers.

Was great to see the Strikemaster up and about, well done guys.

I'm sure they must get it fixed pre airshow , many would need the connection .

An air force spokeswoman said the RNZAF Red Checkers flying team would not be performing at the show because one of the pilots was ill.

The Strikemaster is down here now too. I was at Doug's at Omaka this afternoon, when it whizzed over the airfield, before landing at Woodbourne. Great to hear some jet noise again !!

Good news on the internet Doug - do you think the first new modem was a dud? or did you find something else?

By the looks of it we got that camera in the right place for Bruce who was after the footage.

The photos of the Tomahawk look really good, today Frank Parker and the owner of the 190 gave me the opportunity to fly in the Harvard chase plane for the second flight and Frank came in nice and close for 45 seconds, it was pure magic.

Having been around the guys quite a bit lately and covering both restorations, it has been amazing to see the aircraft fly and Frank is happy with the 190 so all going well we are in for a real treat this weekend.

Hey guys

I went down yesterday to the 'practice day' (although some very impressive flying was to be seen) .

We left NZWN in the morning in a 182, then left Omaka around 3.30pm just before the Twilight display was starting. Was pretty cool while we were on the runway waiting to leave, the Deere Spit was doing a display. Was flying right over the top of us, talk about up close and personal..! thumbup1.gif Was great to see the Strikemaster, P40C and FW190 for the first time as well cool.gif

Here are a couple of pictures I took, hopefully will get a new camera soon - some of the quality is not the best , but still shows some of the goings on! smile.gif. Got some video coming in to land at Omaka also.

Our ride for the day
