I'm a new member here...discovered FS2004 a year ago and very addicted, have even got out a few Federal Aviation Manuals and reading up on the real procedure etc. Anyway im a kiwi from Wellington, mainly fly around new zealand, oz and eastern USA at the moment.
while I'm at it, I'm looking to get a bit of old payware addon scenery for FS9, like Ultimate Terrain, FSGlobal etc... Does anybody have a few old copies lying around that they would be keen to sell off? Have had a fair bit of trouble tracking down a hard copy in NZ so would be much appreciated.
Also, can anybody explain how to do a bit of online flying, like with human ATC etc, is this even possible with 56K dial-up?
Regards to you all
Casey
Hi Casey welcome to NZFF you should enjoy it here and will find us a very friendly lot.
A good place to start for FS2004 scenery is on Rob's site Rob is a member (toprob) and has been doing flight sim scenery for a long time now so I would start on his site for your scenery

Over the years, I think I've managed to "collect the whole set" of Rob's sceneries. If you're Welly based, then his RealNZ Wellington is a *must*. For FS9, I think some of the Red Baron stuff will add a lot too. "Roads & Rivers" etc.
BTW - big welcome from me too!!!![]()

Multiplay is possible with 56k dial-up but very slow at times causing crash,s .
Hi Ian. Thanks for the advice, I might stick to offline flying till I can upgrade to broadband.
I had downloaded a copy of the freeware Wellington city photoreal, along with Airport and Autogen addon...i believe this was a collaborative effort between you and Robyn corn...the photoreal works great, however I found that as soon as I loaded up the airport my sim would crash. I tried going into slew mode, and slewing to airport, but it seems to crash as soon as airport comes into sight. Once I disabled the addon airport in Addon Scenery, while leaving photoreal and autogen, no problems.
Can you help with this?
It shouldnt be a huge problem as I have the RealNZ Wellington addon coming in the mail.
I will checkout the link and see what I can find on Flightsim.com. Am currently trying to download FSGenesis 32m USA Mesh.
I had been over to Snowman/Lawrie Roache's website to check out his great airports, but one problem is that I need to download his EZScenery Object Libraries for them to work, and since on dialup this can be a bit of a nightmare as it is a 200MB download and doesn't seem to have a resume function when my internet disconnects from time to time.
dbcunnz I have recently downloaded RedBarons freeware 75m NZ mesh along with photoreal Coromandel, I have managed to find a decent cheap copy of Roads and Rivers on trademe today, so yay!
Thanks heaps, I hope i'm not being too much of a headache. :-)

Hi Casey
I left a note on Trademe...I am trying to work out how to do this but I may have to let the auction run because if I withdraw it is breach of Trade terms and condtions. If it dosen't sell I will split off what you want (and FS9 - Tom) and sell it direct and put the other items up on trademe that the other guy wants. Hopefully the other person comes back.
Cheers

I do a bit of selling on trademe too, I have withdrawn items before and trademe doesnt seem to mind as long as you have good reason, however it will cost $3.00 each withdrawal. It is possible to alter the price and items listed in the auction without any problems, so you can simply click on edit to rename the auction and list the items that one person wants in that auction and change price accordingly, then start a new auction with the items the other guy wants.
I hope that helps
