Yeah the dam' thing tore up the Albany MegaCentre...where are we going to get our takeaways tonight??
Levity aside, I was there an hour before, and could've been there an hour after, that's life.

Just this morning we were saying: "Well all we need now is a volcano, and Nature will have done the lot!"

Yeah .. Auckland the Volcano Center , Wellington the Earthquake Center and Christchurch , yip we'll be in to help out .. Whoops .. bugger umm .. we might get back to you on that one

At least a tornado only comes around once in a decade, although curiously the last one around these parts ten years ago also hit Albany!

Think about it: a little stronger, a little further south - it would've vacuumed the harbour bridge and dropped a couple of hundred cars in the harbour!
