wow and they reckoned the air***ck was ugly...this ugly duckling was beaten with a large stack of ugly sticks,..then they built a flying machine out of them !! blink.gif

laugh.gif Connor.....my thoughts exactly, a bomb or a torpedo. Just search for Jens B. Kristensen on flightsim.com, and you find all kinds of weird and wonderful things.

Yep...sorry Ian, i really need to come over and get some Harrier lessons.....the Vernon needs about 8 miles of runway just to get the tail up winkyy.gif

When you look at those wing struts - eight and a bit per wing - and wonder, what are they made with and how much does each weigh. Boy you had to have a lot of faith to fly something like that smile.gif .

Dave , then place a couple of those under powered engines , a troop transport for twelve , scarey to think replaced by another so similar to that Chubby guy upstairs rolleyes.gif carrying 22 now only to be replaced by our even well know Chubby fella the Bristol Freighter biggrin.gif

But it flew. Must have been the chubby fuselage providing extra lift - this same theory extends to humans too, so I've heard.
