After what turns out to be self-inflicted problems, the Lancair is doing it's mini-rocket thing out of Queenstown. This is not your average 'kick the tire and light the fire' single.

Shes a fine looking ship, has speed written all over it.

If I won the lottery it would be one of these, but with a PZL 600hp transplant. well I would probably have spend some to repair the old ticker before they let me fly it... Dreams are free smile.gif

Ahhh yes it may be fast, and agile, but ask most men out there and the will all agree, Nothing is better than playing around in a nicely presented beaver tongue.gif

It would have to be a BIG lotto win for this to work and I dont think I would get one with Speys but I might be able to be convinced.

Ahhh the Phantom the plane that fills the "mid life crisis" groups memories, the one the yanks proved that with a big enough power plant even a truck loaded with bricks will fly. Love that bird.

Now as for the Phantom , I just bout wet my pants when word of there retirement in the US Navy ! ... shock and disappointment , then the Cluck does it again 'DANG' twice in my life time dis-banding our strike force

If I was to win a Lotto Jackpot I would buy the SAF Argosy and donate it to the Aviation Heritage Centre Omaka.
