Monday multiplayer sessions

For everything about online flying around New Zealand

Postby b1m2d3 » Sun Jun 19, 2011 8:20 am

Hey guys & gals,

Just to let you all know, I'm working diligently on putting together a Lotus Sim L-39 event every Monday at 1800 GMT. I'm working on making this a pretty regular event on Mondays at the same time. I realize Mondays might be difficult for most of you to participate as during that time most of you are probably working, but Mon/Tue are my only days that I can do something like this. Than again with the time difference, maybe its the evening for you. biggrin.gif

Anyway - the lobby is Adventures

The server is called L-39 Albatros

And when I host (from either of the 3 machines I have FSX on), I'm usually a -1ping. All my ports are forwarded correctly for FSX, so I believe the -1ping is a bogus indication. So if you see it, please join anyway.

We have a TS3 server that we use and if interested please login to the Lotus Sim forum to get information on connecting. www.lotussim.com/forum

Looking forward to having some great flights with you all,

Cheers,

Brandon

**EDIT** My apologies, I realized I had posted something similar to this in the general forum about a month ago.. oops

Ian, definitely will do m8. I'm in Colorado, so MDT timezone. I hate to make assumptions, but are most of you in New Zealand (hence the site. winkyy.gif) and are you considered GMT? My late nights after work might afford me time to fly with you guys a bit more regularly.

Never mind - pulled it up on the net and WOW..lol. Its only 4:51 on Sat here while 10:51 on Sunday in New Zealand. Ok, so my Monday noon will be your Tuesday at 6pm.

When I first started flying fs, I tried multiplayer (not at nzff) and there was some guy in an F/A-18 doing all sorts of maneuvers. All I saw was a C172SP doing mach speed barrel rolls, and loops. It took me a while to work out what was happening! laugh.gif

Out of curiousity which Vulcan are you talking about? I looked at Iris's Vulcan B-2 and it gets mixed reviews. Tonight I realized Just Flight also makes an Addon for the Vulcan.

Hey, re the IRIS vulcan, I fired her up the other night, following the manual, but for some reason didnt have any pitch control, the thing eventually got enough airspeed on the runway to lift off but I couldnt do anything following that re pitch. Am picking I missed some step to do with hydraulics but can anyone suggest what?

On the left-hand console there are ten amber lights. All of them deep to be pushed in so the amber lights go out, and then a green light will come on showing that the control surfaces are functional. smile.gif

That maybe the PSS sim Vulcan or the seperate FS9 'XH558 Vulcan to the sky' which work in FSX , Iris have a dedicated FSX released 18 months back .

Hey all,

Not sure who goes by Gedicat, Gedikak something or other. We saw you join and slowed up for ya, but I don't think we slowed up in time. We slowed to 90% N1 and posted in the chat, then you logged off. sad.gif

Anyway - Turned out to be a great flight from Rocky Mountain airport KBJC - Grand Junction KGJT. The -1ping is definitely bogus as the session was very smooth. Got some great pics I'll post here shortly. biggrin.gif

No I didn't know about the updates for it, I'll have to check out Bills site/forum.

**EDIT** got the update, NICE! Gotta love that new livery! smile.gif It amazes me how fast this aircraft is, I mean nearly 500kts by the time the wheels leave the ground in combat mode???

As for flying, I'm up for tomorrow (Tuesday) at 1800 GMT, however if thats too soon for you lets shoot for next Sunday June 26th at 1800 GMT.

Not a bad looking livery per the update! biggrin.gif
