Since discovering New Zealand, my neighbor to the north has been getting scant attention. Made a cross-country from Kamloops to Vancouver, BC. Brace yourselves, this is a two parter.

Picked up the Fraser River west of Kamloops, heading south.

Weather's pretty good so altered course, more westerly.

Just grinding along, trying to match the scenery to the map.

Another river going my way - sort of.

I'll be spending the next month on a farm about 50 miles West of Anahim lake...may even have some time to update the scenery there. Its a big country that's for sure

When I was down in Florida for the shuttle launch I had a look around a ME108 which was in the final stages of an engine transplant- a V12 from a ??? (Sorry can't remember) which gave it better performance than a 109!...I have some photos but no computer at the moment :[

Was that at Kermit Weeks 'Fantasy of Flight'? What a collection he has - went over and took a look when we lived in the sunshine state.

It was being made near Merrit Island Airport, just in a small garage for the duration of the transplant (I.e the wings weren't on) and would be transported to a hanger when closer to completion presumably

Ok here a few snaps- Apologies for the bad angles but it was a small garage.

Edit- I Found the answer to the engine mystery: It's a Ranger V770 Engine
http://www.williammaloney.com/Aviation/MAP...4RangerV770.htm

As you can see, everything is immaculate- Very well engineered.

Good pictures. That 520 hp engine must have made that plane pretty lively.
