Following on from Adamski's Dambuster thread:
Playing with Plane Designs Lancaster which I rediscovered, just can't figure out how to release the bomb yet

I feel a few more coming on...

Love this dramtic 'action' shot Charl, almost feel like I can hear the sound of the engines.

It wouldn't take that much - considering they already have the Merlin in their "engine management" library ... but I suspect the yanks will want something first, seeing as they gave us our Spit ...

Don't know if he did a Lanc, but I can see where your thinking is coming from!

The Plane Designs Lancaster model is just beautiful (although this is the freeware dambusters version of it) and I'll play with it some more.
The aircraft definitely qualifies for the Accusim treatment though, I'll grant you.

It's what I love most about flightsim...one moment you think what now? and then there you go, back to 1943 and all that.

No...because you did, and it's very very nice!

Charl , Barrie Clark did a Lanc , head on in the same setting as your screen but a singleton , i have his P51 on the wall here , more an action painting than a mood setting smile.gif

But now its time you pulled your artist skills into this , 2 hours to go , four prizes ... GO!

Hehe .. thanks! Not sure whether yours would crop to letterbox too well. You really don't want to trim a single pixel off that one! Got any more in that series to show us?

Oh, I was in ...day two! Just not a Lancaster, leave that one to Adam.

I most definitely do...I have a couple of Recorder tracks to lay down, and then you won't hear the end of it!

Get this out of the system...

First wave was 3 packages of 3

11 of 19 planes returned... 33 decorations, including Gibson's VC - the most of any single sortie.
Dawn return, missing man formation

Quite stunning - those last two particularly (very atmospheric) ... but then the first few are ... amazing ...

Funny (in the last beauty) - you wouldn't thought eight aircraft at only a few pixels each could possibly work ...

Supreme doco to dig up , 'Night Bombers' Lancaster mission out off RAF station , the mission the crew and all in colour sorta places your screens perfect .

Cheers Doug, Paul's quite right - I actually flew the mission (in truth not very thrilling in FS).
Any case, there's a Lancaster doing very well in the June SS competition I see, which was the start of this of course!
Adam, I reckon it has a bit to do with what we know and what they are, and what it's about - 15 pixels, actually!
Thanks Ian, I'm hooked.
I forgot the climb out shot, which I quite liked as it's simply a screen, no fudging.
...ah well here it is, and now we're done

Aaaah ... great ... good one! Thanks for putting all these up ... I must admit I've enjoyed these Lanc threads.
