Looks like a couple of the links down the bottom of the list are broken mate. Oh- and we need to close it now, while I've got 100% of the vote biggrin.gif

This is just plain *impossible* laugh.gif ... I've narrowed it down to about ten ... and that's being pretty ruthless! I'm going to have to think about this a bit more!

Hey Doug, seeing as there are multiple prizes why dont you make the poll a "select multiple options" sort of poll?

Hi Paul wasn't up all that late I usually have most of it done before midnight and everything runs pretty smooth unless someone changes their image at the last minute the thing that take the most time is setting up the voting page where I usually have it all done on notepad that can take up to a couple of hours but then have to copy and past each entry into the voting page which takes a little time I think it was about half an hour to do all that and check it to see if I had made any mistakes in it.
I would say it took about 4 hours altogether saving images converting to thumbnails uploading to Photobucket then bringing everything back to my notepad putting links to the main image and thumbnails etc and copying onto the voting page.
This months comp page was done a couple of days ago already to copy and paste and only takes a couple of minutes to set up.
Another thing that can take a little time is writing and sending emails to the different organizations looking for donors to sponsor each months prize.
There is quite a bit of work involved but its all fun and I hope the members get some enjoyment out of it great to see a lot of new members joining in the comp lets hope they all stay and enter in a lot more of them.

*4 hours* ... ouch!!! That's a lot of work sad.gif ... I didn't realise you also had to create/upload all the thumbnails! Would it help if submitters had to prepare them along with their main pic? When they add their main entry, they could create the link to display it (as usual), but leave the thumbnail link as just a link.

Anyway - all *very* much appreciated by all of us.

I don't think it would help as some still don't use Photobucket and you would only need someone to make a small mistake and it would probably take me a lot longer to sort it out.
Its not a problem really it give me something to do. laugh.gif

What I would like to add is that we ask all participants to please do not vote for your own image, I know that one vote was place by one member on their own entry early this morning within a few minutes of the voting page being posted.
Please vote for someone else not yourself.

It wasn't me, Guv! winkyy.gif ... Isn't there an internal setting that can prevent that?

Give me their ISP and I'll re-route that Lanc from the Milford Sound ... seeing as he hasn't dropped his load yet laugh.gif

Oh that was me. What can I say, I want to win! In my defence you didn't have that written in your post this morning.

Though instead of "some member" how about I also get sent a PM?

Sorry J7G I should of put it up when I posted it but there has been a lot of discussion on it in previous posts I didn't think it necessary.
But then again as we had a lot of new members entries in this one I should of put it up in the posting before I posted it.

Alex I thought you would have known as there has been quite a bit of discussion on this in previous posts.
But as of now it will be posted in all future voting posts.

Once votes are cast they can not be removed.

If everyone voted on their own entry then we would all be winners and it would be very hard dividing 4 prizes up into 64 parts laugh.gif laugh.gif
