I was Ian....and once, i was in the right place at the right time, and got invited aboard an Air France one ....only for about 10mins ....with no camera sad.gif Something I'll never forget....thank you Frank Gunn who arranged it all those years ago......
The thing that struck me was how small it was inside, windows the size of a side plate....the cockpit was all steam driven, and the flight engineer's panel looked the same as a constellation. I often wonder if that was the one that crashed, i have no idea....cant remember what it's reg was.
But at least i can say Ive been on Concorde.......isnt it funny, they made a few of them, but we still refer to her as Concorde...."singular"

I was lucky to see one land at Auckland once...I was on a roof of a building (work related) right under the flight path and heard this bigger than usual roar and looked up and it was an Air France Concorde right over my head. It had diverted from Christchurch...pity I didnt have my camera
