IFR in a PC-9

Post and comment on screen captures from the beautiful game here. Home of the monthly screenshot competition

It was a ridiculously boring flight, didn't see anything between take-off and approach! I don't know how good this actually is (I think it's a bit boring), but I've posted it because I haven't done a screenie in a while, and it's got a nice feel to it. Tell me what you think, I'm still trying to get my screenshot aim in, finding out what works and what doesn't. winkyy.gif

Well ... I'm all for encouraging people to do screenshots! Pity I can't persuade ppl to vote in comps though winkyy.gif

Since you asked for comments (!!) ...

I know it's very hard with the default spot views, but I try to crop the picture afterwards so that the aircraft isn't dead centre. Sometimes there's a bit of interest well away from the aircraft that balances it all up. I get this problem a lot, as I can't figure out how to use these spot camera utils and I hate that funny exaggerated perspective view that *does* place the aircraft off-centre.

If you think yours is boring ... you should see some of mine! Thankfully, they live only on my PC (if only for a while laugh.gif).

Grasshopper....dont worry, you just keep on doing what you do. I , myself think that default rain looks bloody awful and would never consider using it. This shot would look great over a nice cloud base with low sun....just my opinion.

Regarding having the aircraft in the middle of the shot....who cares!.....some of the best pics Ive seen of aircraft have been just that.....dont take any criticism to heart....all this stuff is subjective....if you think it looks good, thats all that matters.

Ive noticed that most of the criticism (screenshots) comes from people who have never posted a shot....not just here, but on other forums....in my opinion, their opinion is worthless.

As my signature says...."those that mind dont matter, and those that matter, dont mind".....or something like that winkyy.gif

Sorry to be a bit serious....Im not having a good time at the moment...and everything bugs me....but...keep screening. thumbup1.gif

I would have cropped the picture a lot more. Not so worried about whether the aircraft is in the centre or not, but as it is the main point of interest in this screenshot, then I would have made it a lot bigger by cutting out a lot of the surrounding grey. Great aircraft though, so post some more screenshots.

smooth landings.

i have heard that the Government may look at Pilatus or Texans for the airforces next advanced trainers. I cant comprehend the minister of defence's comments that the Machi's are too past it to be a relevent modren trainer. What cods wollup!!!
