Comp prize - the JF Comet!

Post and comment on screen captures from the beautiful game here. Home of the monthly screenshot competition

What more can I say? Actually ... *plenty*! laugh.gif

Firstly, we really all need to feel privileged that producers like JustFlight grace us with these prizes. It gives us a great opportunity to show off their products (and an excuse to do yet more screenshots!). I already have quite a few JF aircraft in my "hangar" and was on the point of buying the Comet anyway (JF's loss is my gain!). Thank you, Scott at JustFlight clapping.gif

I've always preferred the classic *British* liners (the Britannia, Viscount, Comet etc.) to their American counterparts. I even prefer the Airbus to the Boeings (but we won't go *there* will we? laugh.gif). So ... having an FSX Comet was always going to be a treat. The JF offering doesn't disappoint. Even after only a few minutes to grab the first few screenshots, I can see this one is going to get a lot of air time. The outside model looks stunning and there really is a lot of attention to detail in the cockpit ... if I can drag myself back in there, that is.

I love that little radar display! You get a full size pop-up version too.

We also get Heidi's sister to appreciate in the cabin ... though her unspeakable beauty has forced all the passengers to the back of the aircraft laugh.gif

I've bought [far too] many add-ons for my flight sim over the years, so I think I can spot a "duff" one pretty quickly now - my first impressions are rarely wrong. There was no doubt with this one ... it's *good*!

Lastly, thanks again to Doug New_Zealand_etc.gif - for setting up all these prizes ... and for all the hard work with the competitions themselves. This month broke all records, I think - so I expect his workload was pretty high!

I'm not entirely sure whether there is [a decent] one, but I'd love to see JustFlight have a go at the Britannia - "The Whispering Giant" ... another *classic* ... and so very stylish.

Let the Americans keep their "Connie" (which I've never really liked - even at air shows - though I'm not sure why). But I've always really liked the Douglas's ... DC-2, DC-3 and DC-6.

BTW - for more info on the Comet, here's the JF product page: www.justflight.com.

As threatened .. here are some more pics! winkyy.gif

The inevitable Marlborough Sound shot ... with the weather looking distinctly dodgy ...

Near Queenstown ... how could you fail, with scenery like this to play with?

Amazing how some RAF roundels instantly make this jetliner so military ...

A quick flypast over Kahu's stunning Whenuapai ...

A beautiful model Adam - you're right, you can tell within 30 seconds if it is.
Well shown too, just look at the engine ducting!
And deservedly well done in the competition...
