Beech Turbine Duke

One shot of my latest purchase, the Beech Turbine Duke. The performance is very different to the piston Duke, and the rate of climb (up to 4000 fpm) is amazing, as is the shorter take off roll. Great set of sounds with it as well, so it is up to the usual Real Air high standards. See what you think:-

more screenshots later, this will be a popular add-on thumbup1.gif ,

smooth landings.

Looks great...the Turbine Duke is on my short list. Whether it gets to the top is another matter. Where are you parked?

Looks great, would be a fantastic cross country machine.

Splitpin, I reckon it is one of the more pretty turbine GA's. winkyy.gif

I tend to agree Marty. The Duke is not the prettiest of Becchcraft aircraft...something about the nose and the rake of it.

Realair have done a fantastic job with the Turbine Duke, cockpit looks awesome.

She's certainly nice looking, but tbh I'd rather a Piper Cheyenne 400LS for FS. A much better high performance executive twin - 350kts at 41,000ft and with STOL capabilities too. Is there one around for FS9/FSX?

You blokes need to wash your mouth out with soap! Surely the Duke is one of the nicest pieces of equipment to come out of the Beech factory? But I'll admit, whacking a couple of PT6's on it really changes the aesthetics.

Anyway, it's a moot point when it comes to turbine twins of this class - nothing looks better than a 690 Twin Commander / Gulfstream 1000

Renaissance Twin Commander

You're right though VAC, those Cheyenne 400LS's are nice.

I'd say the Beech King Air 200 is the nicest except this one .......... which was probably designed by a Frenchmen....ooohh did I say that out loud? smile.gif

Yeah, the French can take anything nice and make it look ugly - at least the Russians make it that way from the start poo.gif

Anyway, the King Air is just a bastardised Queen Air - now there was a nice plane!

A little harsh. I would have gone for "enhanced".
One aircraft I enjoyed flying and that I always thought was a reasonable looker was the Cessna Crusader T303.

This is the one I have a few hours logged in, although back then it was a lovely two tone Blue paint scheme...much better IMHO.
One should never leave the nosewheel like that smile.gif

Love the Crusader. I always thought of it as a 310 that was trying to grow up to be a Conquest but never quite made it.

Shame they're as rare as hen's teeth these days.
