Just out of interest does anyone know the reason for the CTC Katana formation flying around the Hamilton area late this afternoon?.

I'll see if I can find out for you tomorrow. I saw it on the schedule but didnt pay any attention. Did they all have CS_ regos? If so it was possibly a photoshoot type thing for their 3?4? new Katanas. Sorry, don't know much more as I'm in the 172s

Interesting bit of FUD in the article tho...

"Growth from Asia, and particularly India – which Mr Calvert said had escaped the full brunt of the recession – was strong.

He said some Indian airlines were expecting growth of 15 per cent in the coming years."

When you read things like this:

Foreign pilots to be taken off Indian skies by 2013: DGCA

So I guess they'll be importing all the students then dry.gif

Thats exactly what he means. They have just been over to India to try and secure a training deal with a few airlines over there. So expect to see a swarm of Indians in Hamilton soon, joining the Japs and Poms already at CTC.
