Trees on runway

A place to converse about the general aspects of flight simulation in New Zealand

Hi all,
I know this question has been asked before, but I cant for the life of me find the fix.
How do you get rid of the trees growing on the runway. Just installed NZCH scenery that included the small airfields in the vicinity.
Any help most appreciated,
Thanks

I have had the same problem in the past. I recently resurrected my air freight company in Air Hauler, which often requires me to fly to remote small fields which always seem to have tree's, power poles or houses right in the middle of the runway!! The easiest solution is to use an AFCAD editor, slew to the problem location and add a custom "autogen exclude".

There's numerous guides on the internet - but if you have trouble just post here and one of us can detail the process further. Hope this helps....

Thanks for the reply. I am a bit new at this so not sure of the exact process for the fix. The trees are only evident at NZRT (Rangiora) all the other small Airfields are OK.

Adding to the other suggestions - Jim Keir produced two files agexcl3x.zip and agexcl5x.zip and these are available at Flightsim. These files exclude trees by adding clear "extensions" to every default FSX airport runway; the first by 3 times the runway width and the 2nd at 5 times the runway width. It does not help with "addons" but I have found them useful at a number of the default airports and strips.
