I worked on the Haast road way back in the 1956-57 era we had the contract to put the one mile of road around the Meoraki Bluff it has been years since I was down that way but on a flight up the South Westland Coast I decided to fly up the Meoraki River to the bluff and over the saddle where we were camped while working on the road and down the valley to Lake Paringa'
With the VLC it still looks almost as it did all those 55 years ago.

Heading up over Lake Meoraki

Over Lake Meoraki looking back out to the coast

A very steep turn left around the bluff out camp site was about road level just on the far right of the pic.

Over the saddle and heading down the valley to Lake Paringa our Camp site was just off the lower right of the pic.

Heading down the valley to Lake Paringa looking back towards the top of the saddle.

And finally passing over Lake Paringa.

A nice wee flight there Doug- Looks like you omitted to turn on the VLC autogen textures before your flight though smile.gif
