Now that brings back some memories, Alpine Choppers, a 500c, and a pilot called Doug winkyy.gif

What are you guys using to get such great looking trees. I've been stuggling a bit with this theme. I have found a great little valley middle of the south island but not a tree insight

Damb I wish I had known that earlier, there is a couple of things I want from there. I just spent a heap of money on some new tools and tool box so the hobby account has dried up. Never mind will get it someday.

While cruising up the wild South Westland from the Haast I spotted a familiar lake and turned inland flew over Lake Moeraki and on up the Meoraki River to the Meoraki Bluff (this is a place I worked putting the road through to the Hasst way back in 1957-58 one mile of road around the Bluff with a two year contract Bloody hard going but finished it in eighteen months) a very steep turn left took us over the saddle and down the valley to Lake Paringa.

RNZAF Andover passing over the beautiful clear water of Lake Paringa South Westland
