Took your advice thanks Ian and found vlc to produce substantially better screenshots than the previous photoreal one.

While cruising up the wild South Westland from the Haast I spotted a familiar lake and turned inland flew over Lake Moeraki and on up the Meoraki River to the Meoraki Bluff (this is a place I worked putting the road through to the Hasst way back in 1957-58 one mile of road around the Bluff with a two year contract Bloody hard going but finished it in eighteen months) a very steep turn left took us over the saddle and down the valley to Lake Paringa.

RNZAF Andover passing over the beautiful clear water of Lake Paringa South Westland

This has been discussed before Doug, NO PHOTOS..... haha. Nice mate.

Nice screens everyone!!

My very average attempt this month, Origin Pacific Jetstream 32 on the initial climb out from Queenstown's runway 23. If anyone asks, it's a valley tongue.gif

Cheers,
Joe.

Change of pic from me. This time zipping through a valley west of Murchison, about to hit some bad weather!

I thought id try something risky for my entry this month, and nothing is more risky than having a aircraft destined for parts and tin cans doing a low level fly through the mangamukas in the Far North. ZK-NGF in her current condition.
Hope you enjoy
Matt

Now for something completely different!

Took the Islander for a bit of a flight, took off from Milford and stooged down towards Laka Ada and then over the high, much higher than I was expecting, mountains and dropped down the next valley to Lake Te Anau, eventually landing at Milford. Took lots of screen captures, had plenty of time while I was doing tight circles at the end of the valley gaining enough height to get over the mountains!

I have to admit to a little manipulation of this image. Ok, quite a lot really. VLC provides the backdrop though it may be a little more difficult to pick in this shot!
