Taupo to Taumarunui

Post and comment on screen captures from the beautiful game here. Home of the monthly screenshot competition

It's been a long time coming, but finally, here are my first batch of FSX screenies.

The flight was VFR from AP - TM, with VLC and TaupoX, using the Carenado C185 and 'DBS Walk and Follow' to capture the camera angles.

I really love the atmosphere and mood that the combo of addons and graphics engine produce. It was just about as much fun as flying the real route, which I've done a few times under less favourable weather conditions.

Sorry for the overload of captures, but I couldn't help myself. I've still got some tweaking to do, but am pretty happy with how things are looking already. (All of these havn't been edited other than cropping and resizing. It feels strange shinking them down to 900 pixels wide from 1920 pixels wide!)

Departing Taupo:

Ducking under the stratus

And out the other side

Next flight I promise to keep the post under 20 screenshots long winkyy.gif

By the way- whilst flying over the Hauhungaroa Ranges, my FPS would randomly drop down from a solid 30 to 11 or 12 once in a while. I'm guessing this is from the amount of trees? I've still got my autogen level set to 'normal' under the display options. Can anyone reccomend a fix?

The last several, with the sun sinking towards the horizon, give great lighting effects.

Its been a long time between drinks for screenies from you Andrew!

The shots look great and looks like your FSX is already cocka full of great add ons.

The 185 is an excellent choice. There is an improved FDE for the 185 ..I cant find it on the net but I can email it to you if you dont have it.
