Now for something completely different!
Took the Islander for a bit of a flight, took off from Milford and stooged down towards Laka Ada and then over the high, much higher than I was expecting, mountains and dropped down the next valley to Lake Te Anau, eventually landing at Milford. Took lots of screen captures, had plenty of time while I was doing tight circles at the end of the valley gaining enough height to get over the mountains!
I have to admit to a little manipulation of this image. Ok, quite a lot really. VLC provides the backdrop though it may be a little more difficult to pick in this shot!
Greg........Im not sure ....have to be honest...."me thinks you manipulate ....a tad to much".....just my humble opinion

Oh well, maybe that's true. Still, it's all to have a bit of fun - if it gets eliminated then that's the way it goes . . .Ian Warren wrote:QUOTE (Ian Warren @ Sep 20 2011,5:53 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>As i adorn my artessst coop , i loooks and see such a water painting 'magnifisay' , Iz zee gotta earns zee French......

Now now Ian, we know you only watched that 'doco' because of the frequent references to the "fallen Madonna with . . . " I can tell this because you're writing with an English accent to your French!!![]()

Rule 3) The images must be jpg and size must be at least 1024 pixels wide and no wider than 1280 pixels -- A good free resizing program can be found at http://bluefive.pair.com/pixresizer.htm.
If you win and want to see your image displayed as the NZFF banner it would pay to make sure you are within the size stated and as Rob does the banner I'm sure he would agree with me that some of the images are way outside the desired size.
Edit
Just had a look right through and of the 23 entries I found 13 entries are inside the required size, 5 are just under at 1023 pixels wide, 4 are way under size the smallest being 781pixels wide and the biggest of the undersize just 866pixels wide and 1 is oversize at 1350pixels wide.
So guys and gals please check before you enter that your image is within the required size of between 1024 and 1280pixels wide.
Sorry doug, Photobucket resizes them to 1023 for some reason.

If you resize them to anywhere between 1024 and 1280pixels wide before you upload to Photobucket and then use the Customize your upload options and set it to Best possible quality (while staying 1mb or less) you cant go wrong. I resize all mine to 1200pixels wide upload using the Best possible quality (while staying 1mb or less) and that is what they finish up as when posted on here
