Skyhawk 16 heads for Omaka.

A place for 'real world' pilots and aviation enthusiasts to discuss their hobby

Was great to see 16 leave WB this week and arrive at its new home at Omaka, was a very long day for some.

The great thing is that we can still see some of these machines in NZ for future generations to enjoy and look forward to seeing some of the others leaving for other museums in the coming weeks.
This will be a static display and following a good clean up it will look as it did when retired from the RNZAF.

To get out of Woodbourne it was towed up the runway and was nice to see that happen one more time even though it was pitch black.

Have added three website updates this week covering the delivery of the Skyhawk to Omaka.
