FSX native he said ,Wellington is a 2004 port over ,yes still ok though there is now better high res images for the airport which would make a really nice modern AP +pumpkin and other things that have happened over the last 4 years or so ,would be a good project to choose to do ..

more than happy to help

Wellington is definitely top of the list of choices for the next payware airport after Nelson -- only issue I've had is that I've sold an awful lot of Real NZ Wellington, so many may expect this to be released as an upgrade, but that's not what the plan is. However the price may be a compromise between a new product and an upgrade...

Well I can say, as a paying customer Rob, I'd definitely pay for an FSX native Wellington... smile.gif

I hear there are a lot off NATIVES in Wellington , the port over works fine all the bells and whistles , Ashburton is a NATIVE FSX scenery WOW ! the base photo is a black and white colourized and matched to suit VLC .. the photo in question is dated 1998/99 ... WOW thats a major step forward !

biggrin.gif Good point, I didn't want to belabour the point earlier, but here's a quick clarification regarding Real NZ Wellington for FSX. Originally I offered a 'patch' which allowed the FS2004 scenery to be used in FSX, but since then the scenery was redone for FSX, which makes it less 'ported' than it was. And Paraparaumu works fine without RNZ Wellington.

But these days a very hires airport aerial is almost a necessity, and that's how I'd like to see Wellington.

YIP SO that poor old 1998/99 LINZ Black and White has really rose from the ASH,S ! ...... I guess its prity much done !

In the background you see VLC Ashburton airfield , a little water mask required .

Course have to mention the sister town Tinwald and it will be VLC away or default for the matter .

Oh by the way , requires a PC that will run AGN cool.gif

Only within the limits of the photo ... I want more of this , little points of reference , the small towns ,landmarks to complement VLC , example when flying point to point Methven to Geraldine , the highway will lead you there .

Cheers , Mark another area that will not come into the Christchurch is Burnham , sure can arrange to get that and surrounds done , I'm only limited by the placement of these small areas , the GLOBAL MAPPER what both Rob and Mike use is not out off my costing but have my priorities , least i can plug away at these little spots , not hard to do , just eye for color and hand for AGN , not walking from Christchurch rebuild but you do need balance .

Sounds good Ian. I have some shaky aerial footage taken from my paramotor which would help with that.

Fabulous stuff Ian, I only wish I knew Asburton myself so I could comment on local features.
Was just looking over it from the air with Google earth side by side, lovely match on roads and structures etc, fantastic job mate thumbup1.gif
