looking at getting a new computer, my budget is about $1800, i have to get a laptop as i will need it for school etc. I was looking at something like this http://www.msimobile.com/level3_productpag...id=6&id=329. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Personally, I find Asus to be the brand of laptops, especially the ROG series. Will you be doing any gaming on it? or just school work?
If you were going to do some gaming, i would suggest this:

Sorry, don't know the price, but it might be a bit too expensive.

Otherwise, that MSi PC would be fine. Should tackle most things you throw at it.

So I would go for a i7 because of your budget.

Because you said that you are going to be doing school work I would get a big hard drive. A computer along the lines of what you said would be good/perfect for school and could achieve nearly 100% max settings in FSX.

Just make sure that the price is in New Zealand dollars (If you are from NZ) because most i7 laptops are over $1400.
