Plane Mishap At Pauanui

Information off teletext.
Light aircraft with 15 on board mishap the nose wheel collapsed on take off from Pauanui about 6.30 pm this evening no injuries.
No further detail available yet.

Good thing they didn't go any further! The nosewheel didn't actually collapse, the angle of the aircraft in the photos is a bit misleading because the ground is sloping. Apparently it was flown out today so obviously no significant damage.

Obvious Pilot Person had it all under control , could have been much worst plopping it into the ocean only seconds away , that,s why you guys get all this training ( FK ,Trolly , Ben) .. this was the abort Carrier Takeoff which will be part off your training in the next couple off months . winkyy.gif

I passed through Pauanui Beach airstrip today - there's a nice bit of caution tape marking the hole in the fence where the Trislander went through, but otherwise no sign of any incident.
