So next time you fire up the sim, perhaps check your Texture_Maximum_Load figure in the fsx.cfg file.
Smooth landings.

The Texture_Maximum_Load had somehow been changed back to 1024. I have put it up to 4096 again, and immediately noticed the improvement, especially in cockpit views. I am not sure which program had changed it back to 1024, but I will keep an eye on it now to make sure that it stay at 4096. I guess that one of the recent add-ons had set it back down.

Was showing 30, I repeat 30.
Like the man said I changed it to 4096 and saved it then went for a flight.
Couldn't see the slightest bit of difference.
Re-checked the CFG, now reading 512.
For my next trick.....?
30???? Baz make sure you are editing the line "TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD=" and not the "TextureMaxLoad=" line, they are two totally different controlsRegards always
