I believe they FOD ingestion fairings or along those lines .

curious. Good set of photos there though, good exposure on them and sharp too.

I think they are 90 degree gearboxes, to provide drive inwards from the engine to the central combining gearbox from which the main and tail rotors are then driven.Last edited by deaneb on Sun Nov 27, 2011 7:41 pm, edited 1 time in total.
