I actually thought that the message limit was 250, but that doesn't seem to be the case. I might have managed to increase the limit for some, but not quite sure:) Have a look, Mike, and let me know if you are getting more space.
Just to make it clear:
The PM limits are still in place, as they serve a very important function. The PM flood control limit of 5 minutes for most members is to prevent a spammer causing any problems. This has happened before, with a link to a web page which infected some member's computers. The idea is to make it more likely that a spammer would be tumbled before causing too much damage. Given that an attack might happen while most NZers are asleep, it is entirely possible for someone to send PMs to 8 x 12 (8 hours times five-minute intervals) = 96 members before they are discovered. Reducing the time to 2 minutes between messages increases to risk to 240 members approx.
Regarding the saved PM limit, this will remain the same for most members. For moderators, and those with their own subforums, the limit might be higher now. However this isn't automatic, so if you feel that you entitled to this status, let me know.
