Got a few more years yet to enjoy it Ian. biggrin.gif
Q: I am seeing some planes which still state Virgin Blue, V Australia, Pacific Blue, Polynesian Blue; will these be changed to reflect the new name?

A: Yes, our aircraft will have new livery with the entire fleet scheduled to be completed within 4 years.

I have a framed picture on my desk of the 738 in red Pac Blue livery, and the model too. Will be gone but never forgotten for me smile.gif

Saw one (737) being rolled out of the big hanger at chc last night.......the new scheme looks great....very clean looking.

Not sure if anyone else has seen it, but i spotted a USAF Gulfstream departing to the south.(last night).....first time ive seen one painted in flat gray with black anti glare on the nose.....awesome take of, lots of noise and smoke.

Saw one on the "flightradar24" the other day out of wellington, but the picture showed a white aircraft.....showed up as S278. I didnt think that software picked up military stuff.

Does this mean that the Pacific Blue crew will be paid the same as their Australian counterparts (which I assume is more) ?
Ill be sad to see the end of the Pacific Blue livery, it actually looks pretty good compared to the other airlines that fly around the country (I hate Jetstar's orange and Air NZ's livery looks a bit bland now the Pacific Wave has been removed). I also quite like the name - Pacific Blue sounds fun. I wish Pacific Blue was being renamed Virgin New Zealand or Virgin Australasia rather than to Virgin Australia. I'm curious to know what will happen to Polynesian Blue - they are half owned by the Tongan government which might cause problems if Virgin Australia wants the aircraft painted in their livery and the name changed.
Does anyone know the registration of the first aircraft painted?

I would love to see the old 200s just simply to compare the angles and close ups you take Ham .
