One for the Bomber fans...

Just got this as an email - a series of interior and exterior shots from a B17. Very interesting, have a look if you haven't already seen it..

What an amazing reference ......i shudder when i think about the guy in that ball turret, imagine being stuck there for a wheels up landing. Great post, thanks very much.

Thanx Bazza , sourcing B17s whiles back and picked up on the link , this is one that you can fly on the PC , the A2A B-17 Accusimed is wicked . cool.gif

On reading many preferred the turret if jammed to be unbolted and dropped , the ball turret position was also the one position that had the least amount off casualties due to his swat position , the sperry turret was only four feet in diameter .
