AI Flight Planner

The place to ask for help or solve each others technical issues and discuss hardware

Hi all,

Remember Sinz = Sim Noob! unsure.gif

Couple questions on AI flight Planner.
#1 Went to the default AI flight plan copied trafficAircraft.bgl (around 22mb) stuck it on my desktop and accessed with AI flight planner. Had downloaded and installed for 737-800 an ANZ and Qantus repaint. Changed the default paints for 4 and 5 to my New repaints in AI FP and it took ages to compile. Not even sure I let it finish because I've been having a few "Not Responding" when Ive tried changing the trafficAircraft.bgl into .txt and trying to reload it from the .txt. So the question is dos it really take that long to re--compile a 22mb file with the changes I made being the default 737's paints 4 and 5 to ANZ and Qantus paints? Took like an Hr and a Half. Worked 737's paint 4 and 5 are now ANZ and Qantus but the Airports now seem pretty empty. Note: I realise it will change all the FP's in the World to ANZ and Quantus but don't care. (I have backed up the Original)

#2 As I don't really know. What other Airlines come to NZ? So I can find repaints for those Airlines and include into the AI? Basically want to change all AI repaints to something more realistic. Chuck in some Ansett whatever's.

#3 Any quicker methods of changing AI traffic?

Hey Sinz, mate theres something going wrong if its taking that long to compile, very weird.

You might wanna save a little time and use the ORBX/FTX free AI download pack, includes a lot of the trans-tasman AI you might want...

And have you taken a good look at the WOAI stuff? Schedules may be a little out of date but you'll find most of the major carriers who operate legs to NZ, see...

And if you wanna know who flies where, you cant beat Wikipedia for a head start...

Cheers deeknow,

Thats eggzactly why I questioned it. Was way too long for my liking.
Didn't know ORBX/FTX did a free AI download. Cheers for the link thumbup1.gif
Yeah I did take a look at World of AI... Again I had issues with that site. Maybe my security is way high. But I get very paranoid very quickly especially when I see processes running with file names like... ?PéÎ . TestMyHardware\processes http://www.testmyhardware.com/
Maybe it's just the application not reading a process right IDN.
Will have a quick read of Wiki...but ultimalty thats why I asked! To save me some time. Hopefully ORBX has what I'm looking for...Cheers.

Hehe...I see your name and I'm thinking Flintstones?

Hey deeknow,

Many Thanks,

Great link much more realistic.
I knew NZ airports wernt as busy as FSX would have you thinking with all those Strange AI aircraft.
Now when I see something different I will be chasing it just to see where it goes...!
Need to find a freindship Model aircraft. As that is the only thing that takes me from NP to WGTN.
Theres a few strange ones in the mix white unmarked models, but thats better than seeing unrealistic planes taking off and clogging my sky.
