Are you going to try re-install REX - or wait till the new version comes out? I'm a bit of a REX fanboi, but have to admit that default FSX weather is pretty good too.

Ian,
It was something I was debating on, couldn't remember where I saved the Ship on the external though... May possibly change it before the end of the contest though.PC Spec's: Deep Cool Tesseract case, Asrock B450-pro4 motherboard, AMD Ryzen 5 2600x, 32GB DDR4 3000mhz, Gigabyte RTX 2060 v2 OC 6GB, 2x2TB Seagate, 1x 3TB Seagate drives

It works sometimes and I have uninstalled and reinstalled it but has made no difference I seem to have a net framework 2 problem also which may be affecting it.
That one is a mistery as well if I try to reinstall the net frame it tells me that it is already installed.
I will wait until the new version of REX comes out see if that fixes the problem

Hi Tim
A little more is required on your screenshot.
Rule 6) This month's theme: Seaplanes, Floatplanes or Amphibian aircraft anywhere in New Zealand Territory. (Please state Aircraft details and over what part of New Zealand the image was taken)

For some reason, I'm also suffering a series of (previously unknown) dropouts from FSX. I blame ORBX
It can be confusing, as when FSX crashes and you have REX WX (weather engine) running, it'll give you that .net error (as it can't connect to a crashed FSX). That said, I think there've been loads of posts about this error on the ORBX/REX forums - with no apparent solution in sight.
This .net madness really creeps me out. Almost as bad as the multiple installs of Java runtime you tend to collect. Grrrrrrrrrrr. If we're now on .net 3.5 or even 4.0 ... then why the heck do we still need 2.0???? Do we still need DX6 installed for DX9 games? No! Does anyone at MS understand the term "backwards compatible"?
BTW - nice shot, Timmy! The competition is hotting up!!Last edited by Adamski on Wed Jan 25, 2012 2:11 pm, edited 1 time in total.
