Is that Doug Brooker in the Corsair? Does he own that as well?

Don't think so its Keith Skilling isnt it?...the Corsair is owned by a Trust operating out of Masterton IIRC

The Strikemaster certainly looks different, and if the sponsorship helps the owner operate the aeroplane then all good. Looked a bit like a RENO racer.

Absolutely, would rather see it flying in a non-authentic livery than not flying at all. winkyy.gif

Due to a lot of requests I have just added the Tauranga airshow photos to my website. Normally wait for the magazines to do their thing but due to the interest I thought I better not muck around.

A beautiful pan - I'm guessing 1/250th exposure.

Whew... then that is a lucky shot.
But then, as my grandpappy always said: the more you practice, the luckier you get...

Had a good weekend on the panning front, spent a bit of time photographing at 1/100 and here is another.
Lots of practice might be paying off.

The beauty of these pics is that quite often, us "plebs" in the crowd line are *miles* away from the action (air show regulations having got stricter with time) ... so your pics bring us a lot closer to what we would have liked to have seen with our naked eyes - and what we saw in our "mind's eye"!

Other than reminding us of what we saw, they're such pleasing images in their own right thumbup1.gif

That brings up the question...how do you get a photographers pass?...I would love to have decent go at it.
