There you go. Had Doug mentioned 'cancelled orders', I'd have known right away. While I realize this is a 'New Zealand' forum, cut a little slack for those of us who get most of our Kiwi info from Google.

Sorry about that Dave but there is this line in the rules If you have any queries about the rules please PM me for clarification before posting your entry.
It would have been a bit like the NH90 (on order) but as one has arrived they can be entered.
It was a very sad day for the RNZAF when F16s were canceled.
As for the Spitfire in Adamski's image it is quite acceptable to have a none RNZAF aircraft in the background but not as the main subject of the image.

Thanks, Doug. I've changed the pic to one with the Spit being replaced by Brendon Deere's PV270 ... see the modified pic here.

It's highly probable that this will be the line-up for flypasts at Ohakea - with PV270 representing Kiwi pilots that took part in past conflicts.

RNZAF Hudson Bomber No 1 GR Sqdn over Northern entrance from Cook Strait.

Tracing the training flight my father did in UH W 1942 prior to posting at Guadalcanal.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No._485_Squadron_RNZAF
QUOTE
No. 485(NZ) Squadron was a Spitfire squadron of the Royal New Zealand Air Force during the Second World War. It was the first RNZAF squadron formed under Article XV of the Empire Air Training Scheme and served in Europe under the operational command of the Royal Air Force.[/quote]
So they have been used by the RNZAF in the last 75 years ,and we now have NZreg mock ups of those planes here in NZ used for displays /history /education of the RNZAF pilots that went to war for our country ..

IE : the RNZAF website topic spitfire http://www.airforce.mil.nz/operations/airf...01/spitfire.htm
or this one here which also outlines the RNZAF are using them for display http://www.airforce.mil.nz/operations/airf...4/spitfires.htm
also they are attending the RNZAF 75th anniversary as a display feature

And there's also the word 'mythical' included with the two RNZAF F16 paints in your library. Funny what your mind's eye chooses to overlook. Working on a new winner as we speak rolleyes.gif.

OK here is my cluttered up mess but then again it is the RNZAF 75th Anniversary and all the crews have parked up and rushed off to the bar for a few celebration drinks after a very hot and thirsty day at Woodbourne

And it's banner shaped - how unusual is that? Lots of obvious effort -very nice Doug.

Thanks Dave but I don't expect to see it up as the banner next month and to be honest there was not very much effort put into it all the choppers and the foreground Herc are all AI aircraft the most effort was changing the time of the day to get them all sitting there at the same time laugh.gif
