whathesaid.gif Great screen Simon done a stretch out over my three screens and looks superb the only problem is that not many the members are using three screens and some start complaining of over size screen shots sad.gif You will notice that for the screenshot comp the size is limited to at least 1024px but not bigger than 1280px.

On my 1920px (work) screen, I can only see one half at a time (scrolling) ... but if you look at each half independently, they still make amazing pics!

I'm afraid you're just going to have to enter that comp winkyy.gif. You also have an advantage - your aspect ratio is already a nice letter-box shape ... and the detail when reduced from 4320 to 1280 will look incredible.

What GFX card are you using?

When I want to view an image this size (in Firefox), I just right-click - View Image, and it will open in a new window, resized for my browser. Don't know what the equivalent is in other browsers, and I assume it requires auto-resizing to be turned on.

Rob, you have me intrigued. FF is my usual browser, but I can't find an "auto-resize" option (or can't see for looking). What I *do* have is an extension called "Image Toolbar": Firefox Extensions. One of the many extensions I can't live without.

No,no. Just right click and click View Image. It will "auto-resize" at a lower resolution so you can see the whole thing without scrolling.

Hmmm ... not in my FF. Just opens up at new tab/window with the pic full size again. I'll trawl through all the options/settings again.

EDIT: Found it, thanks. It's a hidden parameter, but available in "about:config" - Auto-resize.

This should be the default in FF10. Not sure about earlier versions.
You can set this yourself, as long as you take care. Just type 'about:config' into the address bar, take heed of the warning, and then look for:
Code: Select all
browser.enable_automatic_image_resizing

You can 'toggle' it on and off when you right-click this config line.

EDIT: oops, too late!

It's actually quite handy. I'd call it more of a "feature" than a bug. When I'm wearing my Web Developer "hat", I need to disable this so I know my pop-windows (when I create them) aren't being scaled in any way.
