Yes, or better still, an A380.
Best ride yet.
There is no way I would go to Melbourne, say, on a narrow-body.

Damn, wife and I are headed there next month... A320 there and 737 back. We are flying Qantas which means that it's Jetstar there and Qantas for the return trip. The tickets were a gift so mustn't grumble.

In defence of ANZ, I have spend a lot of time travelling CH / TG since Sept 2010 and have found the staff to be exemplary. Always get a coffee, biscuit and water CHCH - TG or AA. The 737 trip CH - AK also offers free beer on the evening trips smile.gif Quite liking the Koru club too!

Matt don't worry mate every time I've flown jetstar domestic nz or to aussie it's been great. Comfy seats and nice crews. I would fly them again anytime. And its only 3 hours or so. Taking a bus between towns in NZ will take you longer than that with less service. Thanks to budget airlines we all have to put up with lower service for cheaper fares. I for one would rather just get there. The glamour days of flying are over, we are moving closer and closer to being in buses in the sky. Unless you pay business class that is. Flying is now too expensive for me anyway in a low earning, single income family. Wow.. just realise my last flight was Oct 2010 sad.gif sad.gif

Been in Tasmania for a while. WN to AK A320, plenty of leg room. Another A320, same row to OZ and surprise, surprise less leg room. I have just told ANZ via feedback email they need to replace that annoying aerobics on their safety briefing video!  angry.gif angry.gif

ANZ A320 domestic
ANZ A320 international

You were quite right about the different layout

I just got off an Air NZ A320 flight from Auckland to Wellington and couldnt fault it. Staff were fantastic, aircraft was brand new and for $79 got a checked bag, a couple of wines and a cheese board. Had a great flight last week too but was a 737 and they are a bit crappy compared to the A320. Have flown lots of airlines around the world (not as much as happytraveller though) and always been pleased with Air NZ.
