NZFF donation time again!

It's that time again, when we request donations to cover the costs of hosting and maintaining New Zealand Flightsim Forums. NZFF is funded entirely by donations, which overcomes the need for placing advertising etc on the forum. Donations are collected on behalf of the forum by Godzone Virtual Flight, via the Godzone Online Store. We normally open up the Store for donations for a couple of months at this time of the year -- so donations will be accepted from now until the end of May, subject to an extension if we don't manage to cover the annual costs.

Last year we limited the donation amount, as we normally rely on a minimum donation amount from the maximum number of members, but this didn't work out so well -- although we have a lot of members, there is just a small group of regular donors, so any extras are greatly appreciated.

Some small changes were made to the donation system last year:
  • You can bypass the Godzone Store, by paying directly via Paypal;
  • The minimum donation via the Godzone Store is now $10;
  • The $5 donation amount is still available via the direct Paypal donation link.

So anyone who is not a current Godzone customer, and doesn't wish to 'sign up' to the Godzone Store, can donate using Paypal. This is not the same as selecting Paypal as a payment method within the Godzone Store! (Although you can do this if your wish.)

Winter clothing, cake ... and donation duly sent New_Zealand_etc.gif

It may also be a time for all NZFF members/users to thank all concerned behind the scenes for keeping such a great aviation/FS-related site ticking over thumbup1.gif. The last thing we want to happen is for them to have to dip into their own pockets.

Thanks for that, everyone, as of this morning the number of donations matches the 2010 number, so I have stopped panicking!
