I do not want to sound too critical, but you need to find a new prop texture for the Harvard, strange looking propellor blur on it. Perhaps google for a better texture there or substitute another prop texture.

Nothing wrong with being snap happy with screenshots, it is always better to take too many than too few. You can always delete later, but it is almost impossible to recreate a scene.

keep posting!!

smooth landings.

Yeah I do, I'm pretty sure its because I'm using The FS9 Model and textures in FSX. I'm in the middle of looking for a new one now.

I find getting FS9 props to work properly in FSX a real pain. There seem to be a fair few solutions - and sometimes *none* of them work sad.gif

Even my [paid] ATR-72 has problems with certain cloud textures.

I think this was mentioned in another post - which way does the Kiwi face in the roundels? The Kiwi in the roundel of the C130 is definitely facing the wrong way, it should always face forward. In the case of wings, facing forward and feet towards the fuselage.

I have that paint as well (and yes, it's wrong!) ... but there's nothing in the archive that tells you who did it. I don't even know where I got it. Dave Sweetman's kiwis are correct winkyy.gif

EDIT: I did a search on the file "RNZAF 7001 C-130H GRAY.zip" and it came up with a Mediafire link ... which in turn allowed you to browse files for a "nathphillips2889" ... http://www.mediafire.com/?y72f4r9t69m60.

Nathan Phillips seems to have been quite active in the Captain Sim forums ... which then turned up this in his profile: http://nathansfsxrepaints.co.uk/. He's from Wiltshire, in the UK so maybe he doesn't know anything about kiwis laugh.gif.

The repaint's there ... but it's a bit academic as it's highly inaccurate (it even has RAF colours on the tailfin). Dax's 2006 grey is much better, IMHO.

Thanks for the confirm Adam , David is a stickler for detail , being a C130 crewman and has RNZAF paint plans , we see many mistakes and this the obvious one .

so did anyone solve the prop issue? I have the payware Alphasim Harvard/Texan and have added two NZ textures but that dark prop line in FSX is still a nuisance (as well as the aerial)

If you have the model you should be able to go directly to now Virtavia and get a fix , they have both FS9 and FSX models in the the same package , the aerial was standard on a large portion of RNZAF Harvard's in the early 70s , even No.15 had one for a while before radio change .
