Fokker Friendships at NZCH

A place for 'real world' pilots and aviation enthusiasts to discuss their hobby

I have noticed that the Fokker Friendship that Air New Zealand used to train engineers has been moved out doors again, I believe that air nelson has provided them with some more aircraft to use instead. There is actually 2 Fokker Friendships parked up in that spot (outside the paint hanger) but one of them has been cut in half... The aircraft in the foreground is ZK-BXH but I cannot remember the registration of the other (may of been ZK-BXI).
Wouldn't it be awesome if it were still in the original colour scheme!

(please excuse the bad picture)

HHHmmm I spent a fair few hours with my bum parked in those 2 fine aircraft.

Just a pity no one has looked at developing a good model .

Yes you are so right. I have the Mike Stone one with the Fraser McKay panel. The panel is only 2D but it is great. The external model, although great at the time, is really only up to FS2002 standard.
Still I prefer a "good working office" in preference to a pretty exterior.
