I have seen that photo before, it took me a while to remember the Baltimore and some of the smaller aircraft still have me stumped.

Splendid find!

Love those posed "Album" shots, they are a real reflection of the time:
Just sit 'ere on the wing, love, hold the belt so, we'll call it "Loading the machine gun"

But the candid snaps are amazing, I thought I knew the RAF birds but there are a few, well, just no idea.

Who knows what this thing is, and what sticks out of it??

Miles Martinet
Well who'd a thunk!
One mark, Wing Commander...

Now I know the Sabre engine on the Typhoon was iffy, but what have they grafted on here??

Looks like a wannabe Fury...

Mention to many the JU88 of BoB was inline engine or even the later HE219 .. even the TA152 , they tested the same concept wit the Napier even with a ducted spinner , next time your in CHCH Charl , we will rip into the Wiggy Museum , you would be impressed with the engineering of the ole Napier .. course then went radial with the Fury .

In the ongoing battle between objects made of aluminum going hundreds of miles per hour and the ground going zero miles per hour, the ground has yet to lose.

To me that looks like a prototype Hawker Tempest Mk.II with the Bristol Centaurus Engine.
