Galatea- Revisted

A wee while ago I modeled Galatea aerodrome but just as I was ready to release it, Avsim was hacked and its upload functionality was lost so it was never released as anything more than a beta.

I've spent a bit more time with it and replaced some of the objects with better items from the VLC libraries, tweaked the autogen, added a basic rendition of the heliport near the golf course and given it a general spruce up. This is all placed on a large area of 80cm aerial imagery covering most of the Murupara plains.

Remember you will need to download and install the VLC libraries V1.2+ for the extra objects to show correctly.

Looking very good. I was most disappointed last year when I arrived to join the circuit and found nothing there. This will certainly be an addition for me.

I really liked your original rendition, even as an unfinished beta. This is looking great Timmo, will be good to fly in there in the near future.

Credit to you Tim , I was over this area (20,000) heading back to Wellington for a return NZCH .. I simply studied the area , just a pity real life gets in the way sometimes
