Remember the 50-50-90 rule. Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong!

Cowpatz, I'd be interested to hear what you think started the B777 oscillation?

The video is of poor quality so I can't tell for certain but it would appear that the speed brake was not armed. The aircraft touched down quite firmly on the RH gear and then bounced. Normally this would not occur but having no ground spoilers deploy can really "spoil" your day. The resulting bounce placed both main gear off the ground. At the same time it looks as if the pilot was trying to arrest the bounce with forward elevator but applied too much which forced the nose gear to touch down hard whilst the mains were still in the air. As the nose wheel bounced the mains returned to the ground and this set up that oscillation which you see. It would have been better just to hold the attitude (or pitch slightly up) until the mains returned to the ground or go around.
The aircraft was a 767.
The Korean 777 landing was not flash either and would be due to too much down elevator application (along with a host of other out of sync applications).

Yes I saw this one on Yahoo News this morning and I thought Wow sometimes I land better than that.
That plane is a rightoff looking at the crumpled panels at the end of the Vid.
But then ya never know.... You could be flying in it a few months from now.
