NZers seem to be developing a small habit of closely inspecting the weeds in their WWII-era piston aircraft:

Just to clarify before anyone has a heart attack, this was the WAR Aircraft Replica FW-190, not the full-scale one from Omaka.

Ok Someone has to clarify this one for me...!!!

Article say moderate injuries from crashing? Im guessing its the planes Injuries not the guys because he looks about half the size of the Aircraft and I doubt he could fit inside it. Lmao
If its an RC aircraft "I want One" if its a flyable aircraft (IE: that guy climbed in and flew It) OMG!!!
Would have been like the Malboro Man sitting on the Rocket.

That isn't the pilot in the photo. It is a flyable aircraft - a pretty snug fit I'd imagine though, you certainly wouldn't want to be particularly tall. Strictly a single seater of course so the initial news report that there were three people on board is a little bizarre.

Look at the vids I posted. It is for sure a piloted aircraft, I have seen it myself on a few occations. My suspisions over its recent sale were correct. It was been flown home just after purchacing when it lost power. Latest news link is below.
