An area to discuss scenery addons for virtual NZ

Postby wolfmanslack » Tue Jul 17, 2012 6:37 am

Hi guys,

I am trying to find an object in FSX that we can use for our V.A. a bit more.

On the weekend we did a group flight in Boliva, in D.C.3's when we stopped at this little airport (SLAG - Monteagudo)

When we landed for a coffee break, we parked up next to this rather interesting control tower.

(If someone could tell me how to insert pictures from computer on to this, I could show you)

But the control tower looked like it was a extended caravan with a control tower put in there as well.
Which looked rather interesting.

So we are planning to do a tour around the south island in G.A. aircraft later on this year.

We would like to find out what the control tower is in the mass of files of fsx.
Can it be put in for 2004 users to see as well?
Can we put tasman airways down the side?
How do we put in it airfields in N.Z. for our final airfeild we are going to for our group photo?

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have had nothing to do with scenery at all.

Cheers

Stu

What you need to do is build a model or models and create a texture - best take photos of even your own house for example - Gmax is ideal or FSDS3.5 , then place into position

GUID code for object in default library in FSX is {6c07357f-286b-417e-894e-764ba7b82a9b} 2 4 12 1 tempcontrol_tower

knowledge of placing objects will be needed with the supplied info above .

There are also 2 mobile control towers in an EZ Scenery object set available on Avsim.com, filename: lens_ez_scenery.zip by Len Hickman.
See pics below...........................
As Mike has pointed out in his above post, you will need knowledge of placing objects in a scenery as well.
Also, and object placement tool is required, such as
"EZ Scenery" by Abacus Publishing ( for FS2004), or "Instant Scenery" by Flight-1 Software ( for FSX).
There are a number of other scenery placement tools available for both FS2004 and FSX as well.
