Is this saitek throttle faulty?

The place to ask for help or solve each others technical issues and discuss hardware

Just setup my new Saitek yoke and throttle today, but the throttle is behaving very strange... Basically it's like the middle Rx throttle is controlling both the Rx and Ry axis in the software, and the right Ry throttle does not do anything in the software. I have made a quick video so you can see what I mean:

Seem's a bit strange, should I be taking this back??

Sometimes it can get a little tricky and takes a little time , for a start install the CD that comes with the throttle quad then adjust from there , they are brilliant when spent a little time setting up .

Yeah I installed the CD/software on my Windows machine to try and resolve the issue, the Ry throttle lever just does nothing, and Rx controls both Rx and Ry.

Also does exactly the same when I use it on my macbook with X-Plane, that does not require anything installed off the CD... X-Plane just picks it up, but yeah just identical thing happens.

Will try some more things this evening, but does seem very odd.

What you can do is set every thing back to default and reverse the settings .. Using Macbook for FS can cause these problems .. reason i never touch an apple winkyy.gif

Lol, as both a microsoft and apple programmer/developer I can assure you it has nothing to do with that winkyy.gif both operating systems exhibit the identical issue.

Reverse makes no difference, it just reverses the problem also tried the obvious things like resetting settings etc in the sim.

But this happens and the video was taken outside of any flight sim software, and just within the Saitek properties window where there is no reset or configuration its just displays what axis you are adjusting onto the screen.

Hopefully Saitek support will get back to me soon, just don't want to leave it too long in case it does have to go back to the shop.

As long as you have the invoice/billing you be ok , they do have a warranty think was one year from purchase.

interesting I was recalibrating my throttle units today and your movie shows yours is screwed in some way. Taking it back is the way to go in my opinion.

Usually if its not working in Windows test screens etc, its a likely hardware fault.
