Rex thru a curve ball...... fog & a cross wind (whats that about) So, as everything else had turned to S**t ,I shut down the 2 starboard engines and went for it......not pretty. Mike Im sorry about the hole in the runway .
Ive done this before (C-5 + Hamilton) should have known........anyway , here the last few feet of two approaches .

She really swings into those dead engines , and the wind from the other side .....

And, in a better place winkyy.gif

Excellent shots splitpin . I always think you have the skill of selecting the appropriate angle for the screenshot. Did you actually pull that landing off?

No sign of the C5 as yet , they normally cruise up Pegasus bay and turn in over the city , very distinct sound and course there all grey scheme makes them stick out like dogs balls on the skyline .

Errrrr..... isn't that what rudders are for?!?! blink.gif Shutting down two engines to counteract the crosswind effect could very well explain the new C-5 sized hole on the threshold!! winkyy.gif

Lovely screens though! notworthy.gif

winkyy.gif One thing the C5A had was a swivel main UC just for the crosswind , they found them to bloody expensive to maintain so the idea and machinery was deleted form them .... another that really needed it more was the Boeing B-52 Stratofortress , looking at the main UC you could understand why .
