You might want to try re-saving with less jpeg compression/better quality. 75% (quality) or higher. I see the filesize is around 45k (ie. tiny). That BN-2 is one of my favourite aircraft!

yea not sure why it does that I change them in paint to 1240 as per instructions and it kills the details in my pics, yea that islander is cool several of my mates have flown them over the years.

Hmmm ... something not quite right ... also, they're at 96 dpi (instead of the usual web/screen 72dpi). Are you using the "V" key or "Printscreen"?

I think Doug has posted some links to other resizing utilities, but a good (free) one I've recommended to others is Pixresizer.

One thing you can do is to change your Photobucket settings -- upload options -- 'Best possible quality (while staying 1mb or less)'.

This stops them from being resized down to 1024px, which can degrade the image quality a little.

I'm surprised that so many people enter the smallest allowable size images in the comp -- it makes a lot more sense to make them as big as possible within the comp rules, which is 1280px. Too many great images lose their impact because they are too small.

I use Snapper to take pics - works OK in FSX, so long as you remember to 'Unload' before shutting the 'poota down - otherwise it seems to lose your settings.
I take heaps of pics as I'm flying around - jpgs at full screen, 1920 x 1080, and review them later.
If I have fluked a good one, I use Irfan View to crop out text from Snapper or FSX, then resize/resample to 1280 wide. No other mods.
I upload to Postimage.org - nothing agin Photobucket, I just like Postimage better.
Reducing from 1920 to 1280 does spoil a lot of pics - the detail is still there, but you can't pick it out, so a lot of effect gets lost.

It's all part of the fun - I'm not going to shoot meself 'cos I didn't win.

'Propliner' is actually short for 'Proper airliner, with big rumbly radials'

A few miles south of Westport along State Route 67A.

I'm picking maybe a bit of P/S work here, but a good result.
