Return to the first photo , even put in spent shell ejector and ring shoots in the bomb bay .. now that's authentic !

In photo No.8 , you can see the modified manifold giving only five on the exhaust stacks , a question recently asked in the forum .

That one with Auckland city is great especially.
And look how close those props are to the fuselage in the engine run up photos! Wow! What a machine.

Yes enjoyed the video too - deeply impressed with the piloting of that Vampire; it was rock steady on the wing of the Mossie, no mean feat with a jet.

It did take us a while to get together, we had the Spitfire flying at 210mph to make things easier for the pilots and me and got their eventually.
Doug flew nice and smooth so we got the job done.

Can't post any other Mossie photos for the time being but some of them are very nice, so the sooner the magazines get their jobs done the better :-)

Well i guess now after a couple show's it to be packed away , Great series of photo's , did you have any cockpit pan around shots .

One of the most exciting times of any photo shoot for me is the initial join up.
You often get to see what the enemy "may have" or "not seen" as a WW2 fighter approaches with a huge over take speed.
Am going to have to slow down quite a bit next year and this experience will be burned into my memory forever.

The shot above is how it came out of the camera and almost looks B+W, the aeroplane was backlit and was worried the photo would not come out at all but luckily it did.

One thing you may be able to tell us Gavin , the tires , example Spitfires tires last around 30 landings , now it would not be cheap , custom made warbird tires ? another regular and super expense we don't think off .
