Just uploaded to FlightSim.com and should be available for download from the library within 24 hrs......................

Whangarei Regional Airport. NZWR. For FSX SP-2 with VLC installed, and also with the free VLC North Island Airfields Pack V 1.2 installed.

Welcome to Whangarei Regional Airport, located in the Northland region of New Zealand's North Island.
This custom scenery is specifically built to fit onto the photoreal base for Whangarei that is included with
the free VLC North Islands Airfield pack Version 1.2, available from the VectorLandClass website.
The scenery will not work without the Airfields pack installed. See install instructions with the download for details.

Some random pics of the scenery.....................

Lawrie - thanks to you (and Tim) I now have a very nice Whangarei Airport and surrounds.
One very small point - the 'Whangarei' nameboard on the terminal roof looks fine with the roof as background, but becomes transparent against the trees and the sky. The support posts remain solid.
Your 7th pic above shows it as almost transparent when viewed from behind.

'Propliner' is actually short for 'Proper airliner, with big rumbly radials'

Would you believe its an attempt at mimicking the transparancy of the real life sign..................

Glad you like the custom addons to the airport. I couldnt resist it, as Tim did such a nice job with the photoreal base etc, and i was already working on NZWR to
fit the VLC payware anyway.
Im also looking at customising and adding to 2 other airports in the package as well.

Lawrie - Looking forward to the new ones already.
Back in 2007 I found an FS9 scenery for Bangkok Suvarnabhumi - you could actually see through the windows of the departure halls and see the AI aircraft moving on the other side. The frames in the glass were modelled as well ( maybe only as textures?)
Looked great, but I have no idea how they managed it.

From your pic, it looks like the same VTBS scenery i had in FS9,......... by SiamAvsim.com.
Was a very nice and very well detailed peice of work for FS9.

Yep, that's the one - vtbs2006.zip, which I see I still have along with some later additions, ready for when I rebuild my Classic and Modern VFR installations.

Yeah, ive still got it too.
A few years back, i flirted with the idea of converting it to FSX standards, but i never got around to it........................ YET.
