All the talk about the new Dave Garwood Mossie and the upcoming Milton Shaupe crew PV-2 and variants, ive been doing some warbird flying of late.. Jetliners are being parked in the storage hangars for a bit and Piston engines are taking their places...

cool.gif When i first tried Milton's 500 i thought why not his current offering with the PV2 , but ya gotta love the guy .. the old Gomer Pile saying "surprise surprise" ... ya then look at the F7 .. jeez that is one very lethal Grumman , i have a brilliant book here on its operations in Korea as a night fighter and intruder ..hate to be at the front end of that Cat ! smile.gif

Yep - the Axis powers ought to be thankful that the 'cat wasn't in service during WWII - wouldn't like to be on the receiving end of that beast. ninja.gif

oh yeah, i like the 500, its fast too, the first flight ended up being NZTI to Ashburton simply because at 10,000 she was cruising along at 245 knots... here are a couple more screens for y'all
another quiet day at NZTI....

It is indeed the Alphasim Hudson, with the early RNZAF scheme applied

One i did notice was it sitting well to high on its eloes but i guess it being a very old model now , the FSaddon is a lot better in that respect but for some reason put an air scoop on the engine nacelle and one photo shows that defies me with all the info on Lockheed's i have here how can a museum in the UK do that .

The Hudson does sit pretty high on its gear, and they did have carb intake scoops on the nacelles, the Air Force Museums example has scoops, and there are other images around of Hudsons with Carb intake scoops on the top of the nacelles/cowlings, one of the images the link is below is an official RNZAF image too

Kiwi ... you beat me to the post , i know the museum Hudson very well , having crawled over every inch of it.... and there are scoops.... Ive put my duster in them winkyy.gif

Not the type mentioned .. these are scoops on the side of the Nacelle ! and on every model ! .. some people really need to learn there brain when it comes to a plane blink.gif ..

As you can see the the little air scoops on the side , all the books and data i have simply have not seen version or type with them .
